Playground Angels
About a year ago, Heacham Junior School decided to introduce Playground Angels, a team of volunteers from years 5 and 6. These Angels are available to approach every playtime for worried or lonely or playtime argument victims, to sort out problemsSometimes friends fall out and that’s when the Playground Angels are here to help. If children are unhappy the angels take them somewhere quiet indoors to discuss the matter. They don’t take sides but suggest ideas to help resolve the problem.
By talking about how each person feels they can all see the problem from the other person’s point of view and work out a solution to the argument – after this they hopefully go and play happily together.
Tri Golf
Children from Heacham Junior School won the West Norfolk Area Tri Golf competition in 2009. Older and more able children are encouraged to help beginners with their golf and together the children have become the best players in the whole of Norfolk having recently won the County Finals too!
We are in the Tri-Golf finals 2010, in July, having won through in May. 
Well done to the team and good luck in the finals.

Children in Need 2011. The pupils paid £1 to come to school in their Pjs and their Teddies were allowed to come to school for the day for 30p. Money raised from the cake stall and filling the outline of Pudsy and from the non-uniform day all was sent to Children in Need.
